Religion Behind the Headlines

The challenge of a more productive engagement between religious communities and the media was explored in a panel discussion at New York University sponsored by Coexist on 20th March, in partnership with Odyssey Networks, the Religious Communicators Council and NYU's Center for Religion and Media. Nick Stuart of Odyssey Networks moderated a panel of journalists and commentators including Anisa Mehdi, Ann Neumann, Michael Wakelin and Leena El Ali, to ensure a more balanced and nuanced reporting of religious issues in newspapers and television.
