  • God has given us many faiths but only one world in which to co-exist. May your work help all of us to cherish our commonalities and feel enlarged by our differences.

13/10/2011 - 'Pathways' events play to sell out crowds at Cheltenham Literature Festival

The Cambridge Coexist Programme has completed its first series of events as part of the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. Playing to mostly sell out crowds, the Pathways strand featured The Chief Rabbi, best-selling author Anne Rice, historian Simon Sebag Montefiore, Muslim writer Leila Aboulela, Rabbi Lionel Blue, Yasmin Alibhai Brown, Dame Mary Warnock, playwright David Edgar and the Rt Rev Richard Harries, with topics ranging from Religion and Politics to ‘how to find inner peace’. There was clearly a strong appetite for religious discussion and a profound engagement with faith issues in a variety of contexts. With the Festival itself boasting record ticket sales, we are hoping this partnership will become a regular feature of the Cambridge Coexist Programme.
